Going around Christmas markets is definitely one of my personal highlights of the season. As crowds gather there’s always real sense of community as we celebrate the festive period together. If you haven’t been before, Birmingham hosts a Frankfurt Christmas Market every year and is said to be one of the largest of its kind outside of Frankfurt itself. Aside from the variety of wonderful jewellery, decorations and food and drink stalls, the markets will dazzle you with their authentic Frankfurt style as every stall is trimmed with hundreds Christmas lights and fantastic festive decorations! Finally, you can’t forget the live music that always has the crowds singing and swaying along- What can be more Christmassy than that?

Christmas Eve, or the calm before the storm, is the perfect occasion to unwind, stick on your pyjamas and snuggle up watching a festive film. I find every Christmas movie offers a different kind of nostalgia, whether it’s the classics such as It’s A Wonderful Life that warm your heart or family favourites like Home Alone or Elf, we all have our go-to favourites. And there’s nothing like sitting down at the end of the day on Christmas Eve to soak up the excitement of knowing Christmas morning is just one more sleep away!
